As a department specialized in the manufacture of railway rolling stock products, we manufacture various rolling stock products, including sheet metal products, carriage doors, interior panels, and canopies.
We have an integrated system that covers everything from design to trial production and mass production, and steadily manufacture products with high quality and low cost by using a production control system to manage each employee’s high level of technology and efficient production by automated machines.
The Konan Factory consists of three bases, which manufacture sheet metal products made of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum; inter-carriage canopies; outfitting products such as rolling stock doors and interior panels; as well as electronic devices, such as motion prevention system developed in-house.
We also manufacture full-scale rolling stock models for testing and training, leveraging our extensive knowledge of railway rolling stock products.
In recent years, we have also been involved in the manufacture of various railway rolling stock products for overseas markets, which have been increasing in variety year by year.
The Konan Factory uses a production management system to ensure integrated
management of equipment and human resources at each manufacturing site,
enabling rapid production of high-quality products.

Motion Prevention System
When operated by a key, the motion prevention system electrically locks the powering circuit and main storage battery circuit, and displays that movement is prohibited (work in progress) inside and outside the rolling stock in order to prevent accidental operation of the rolling stock.
Various Rolling Stock-Related Products
We manufacture various products inside and outside rolling stock, including aluminum wiring ducts and other welded products, inter-carriage canopies, and entrance/exit doors for passengers.
